Previously, in February 2022, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province submitted to the Prime Minister a request for a license to execute the construction investment project of Yen Lenh and Ha Nam port clusters at the Red River bank.

The project has a land area of more than 23 hectares with a total investment capital of 1,295 billion VND. Operation period is 50 years from the date of decision on investment policy. Specifically, the area outside the dike is 1.85ha, including the following items:

Cargo storage yard behind the wharf is at a height of 6.2m (equivalent to the level of the existing riverbank in the area outside the dike)

The project proposed by Ha Nam International Port Joint Stock Company has the objective of investing in the construction of Yen Lenh port cluster with the function of being an inland waterway port and providing logistics services for forwarding needs; loading and unloading; storage and distribution of goods; customs clearance of domestic goods; import and export; is an important traffic hub, multimodal transport forwarder of the region.
