The Maritime Administration promotes the implementation of a series of inland port projects and seaport groups

According to information from the Vietnam Maritime Administration, the Department is actively accelerating the construction of 3 inland port planning projects to promptly submit to the Ministry of Transport this May.

Details of 3 planning projects are being built, including: Detailed planning of groups of seaports, ports, wharves, floating terminals, water zones and water areas in the period of 2021-2030, orientation to 2050; Planning on development of the inland port system in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and a detailed plan on development of seaport lands and waters in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

In particular, the project on making the planning for the development of the inland port system and the detailed planning on groups of seaports, wharves, wharves, floating terminals, water zones and water areas in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. approved by the Ministry of Transport, the contractor selection plan for planning bidding packages.

The Maritime Administration has completed the contractor selection and signed a contract with the planning consulting unit. The consulting unit has started to deploy from March 16, 2022.

As for the project to develop the inland port system, Acting Director Nguyen Dinh Viet said that the Department is collecting planning data from ministries, branches and localities. It is expected to complete the report at the beginning of the period in May 2022.

Regarding the project of elaborating a detailed master plan for groups of seaports and ports, the Department has registered to report the contents of cargo forecasting and expected results of the master plan at the Ministry of Transport in May 2022.

Next month, these two projects will enter the planning consultation phase to implement planning work.

Particularly for the project on making detailed planning for development of seaport land and water areas in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the Ministry has approved the project's tasks and cost estimates on December 31, 2021. The Department is continuing to review tasks and estimates to report to the Ministry for consideration, in parallel with the completion of tasks and estimates, as a basis for reporting to the Ministry of Planning and selection of contractors in June 2022.

In addition, the Orientation Project on decentralization and decentralization in the maritime domain was completed and submitted to the Ministry in Document 4111 dated October 5, 2021. The Department has sent documents to the People's Committees of the provinces and cities related to the project for comments and collected 19/29 comments from 19 provinces and cities.
