Soc Trang approves detailed planning of Tran De deep-water seaport project

So far, Soc Trang province has approved the final phase of the detailed planning of the land, water areas and seaports. The consulting unit is completing to report to the Ministry of Transport. Based on that report, the Ministry will review and submit to the Government for approval. According to Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Lam Hoang Nghiep, said that after the Government approves the detailed planning, the province will select a qualified contractor to carry out the project in accordance with the law.

The project has completed the detailed planning of land and water areas of the seaport. In terms of site clearance, the project does not face many difficulties because the mainland is mainly alluvial land managed by the State.

Tran De seaport is planned in the downstream area of ​​Hau River, connecting inland waterways and roads (National Highway 60, National Highway 1, National Highway 91, National Highway 91C) with an area of ​​4,550 hectares. It is expected that the port can receive general ships, containers up to 100,000 tons, bulk ships up to 160,000 tons.

Accordingly, Soc Trang province is promoting the implementation of necessary procedures to invite investment in the form of socialization with this important seaport project. Currently, many investors have expressed interest in investing in the project.
