PVN and Corio Generation discuss cooperation on offshore wind power development in Vietnam

Information from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) said: Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVN has just had a meeting and worked with Mr. Jonathan Cole - General Director of Corio Generation Company (Australia) - Member of PVN Macquarie's Green Investment Group (the world's largest offshore wind power company).

At the meeting, Mr. Jonathan Cole - General Director of Corio Generation introduced about Corio's activities globally. Corio Generation currently owns one of the largest offshore wind power development portfolios in the world, with over 15 GW in both traditional and emerging renewable markets.

In particular, the company's team of experts has a lot of experience in implementing offshore wind power projects (from construction, development, as well as operation management).

Corio is currently continuing to grow the portfolio of Green Investment Group (under Australia's Macquarie Financial Group) in Europe, Taiwan, Korea and Australia.

In the proposal to cooperate with PVN, Corio commits to coordinate and support local economies, and at the same time meet the energy needs of the community and businesses in a sustainable, reliable and safe way fully and responsibly.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong welcomed Corio Generation to visit and work with PVN. Information on the overview of the Group's activities, as well as the development strategy of PVN in the coming years.

Specifically, in addition to developing core areas, PVN is also very interested, focusing on developing renewable energy projects, including offshore wind power.

According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, PVN and its member units such as Vietsovpetro, PTSC ... have experience in participating in offshore wind power projects and have very good financial potential.

Through the meeting, PVN wishes to receive attention, support, and experience sharing from Corio Generation and believes that in the near future the two sides will have the opportunity to cooperate in development in offshore wind power projects in particular, as well as renewable energy in general.
