In the Resolution, the goal is set out that by 2025, the total electricity capacity will be increased by about 3,000 MW to reach a cumulative capacity of 6,500 MW, including: 3,440 MW of solar power, 1,200 MW of onshore and nearshore wind power, 360 MW hydroelectricity, 1,500 MW LNG gas power and nearly 11.2 billion kWh of electricity production. This is the basic criterion to become an energy and renewable energy center of the country.

The energy and renewable energy sectors contribute 22% of the GRDP and 29% of the total budget revenue of Ninh Thuan province; solve 5.5% of job demand in 4 key economic sectors of the province; reaching 9-10% of the installed capacity in the national structure; consuming 20% ​​of the province's electricity output.

Energy infrastructure is developed synchronously, modernly, with high connectivity to regional and national power grids, in line with the orientation of Power Master Plan VIII and effectively meeting economic development goals - society.

By 2030, the total capacity of power plants will increase by about 5,300 MW, raising the scale of power source capacity of the whole province to 11,800 MW; solve 7.3% of job demand in 4 key economic sectors.

What solution to achieve the goal?

To be able to accomplish the set goals, Ninh Thuan province has proposed 6 groups of tasks and key solutions to focus on directing the implementation:

1. Strengthen the leadership and direction of the Party committees and authorities at all levels; raise responsibilities and awareness about performing the task of building Ninh Thuan into an energy and renewable energy center of the country.

2. Focus on building, perfecting, managing and effectively implementing master plans, plans, mechanisms and policies.

3. Build a model of developing Ninh Thuan into an energy and renewable energy center of the country.

Specifically, focusing on developing the structure and model of the energy center, renewable energy consists of 2 parts; in which, the hardware consists of 3 modules: Module 1 is the Ca Na LNG Power Center; Module 2 is Ninh Thuan Renewable Energy Center; Module 3 is the Center for Applied Research and Development of Energy Technology (R&D). Software - a system of preferential and specific mechanisms and policies; established a Steering Committee to direct and promote the sustainable development of the energy and renewable energy center of the province.

4. Enhance the attraction, mobilization and effective use of investment resources to develop physical and technical infrastructure. In particular, focusing on proposing the Government, ministries and central branches to speed up the progress of investment in building 500kV and 220kV transmission systems to release the capacity of new development energy projects in the province. according to the policy of the Government.

5. Prioritize the development of human resources to serve the energy industry.

6. Strengthening state management, accelerating digital transformation and application of science and technology.
