Logistics services will contribute 12% of Danang of GRDP by 2030

The project "Development of logistics services in Da Nang to effectively connect with the Central Key Economic Region and the East-West Economic Corridor in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050" has just been approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang City.

The overall goal of the Project is that by 2030, Da Nang will develop into a beautiful logistics center, strongly attracting suitable investors, in order to perfect the logistics infrastructure and ensure Human resources and specialized skills ensure the excellent operation of a dynamic logistics system, which is the center of the Central Key Economic Zone.

In particular, Da Nang Seaport and Da Nang international airport are the gateways for delivery and transportation with localities, ASEAN countries, and the world.

The project is set out to 2050, Da Nang will build a modern logistics system, with a clear structure, and complete infrastructure, meeting the quality requirements of international logistics services; affirming the role of Da Nang's international gateway port in the central region, becoming the main gateway to the sea of ​​the East-West economic corridor and an important link of the Asia-Pacific transport corridor.

The locality will also form a synchronous, interconnected infrastructure system, conveniently connecting the highway system, and national highway with the ring road, the city's main traffic axis to the seaport (Tien Sa, Lien Chieu), and Da Nang international airport.

According to the project, the city will synchronously develop transport support services, and multimodal transport, especially improve the quality of logistics services, reasonable costs, safety, reduce environmental pollution and save money. energy; increase competitiveness to actively integrate and expand the shipping market in the region and the world; develop and improve the quality of existing services to enhance specialized service delivery; prioritize the form of public-private cooperation for investment in logistics center infrastructure according to the planning at Lien Chieu port, and other logistics centers according to the approved planning.

The specific goal of the project is that from 2023 to 2030, the contribution of the logistics service industry to the GRDP will reach 11-12%, the outsourcing rate will reach 40-45%, and logistics costs will be reduced to the same proportion. equivalent to 13% of GRDP.

Logistics centers in Da Nang City meet about 55% of logistics service needs for goods through seaports, and 20% of goods via rail and air.

From 2030 to 2050, the contribution of the logistics service industry to the GRDP will reach 15-15.5%, the outsourcing rate will reach 60-65%, and logistics costs will decrease to 11.2% of the GRDP. Logistics centers in Da Nang City meet about 55% of logistics service needs for goods through seaports, and 40% of goods via rail and air.

Da Nang will continue to develop and implement policies on logistics services; invest in logistics infrastructure; improve enterprise capacity and service quality; develop the logistics service market; train, and raise awareness and quality of human resources.

The scheme clearly states that the funding sources for implementation are the State budget, corporate capital, international funding, and other lawfully mobilized capital sources.
