Ha Tinh proposes to add a series of wind power projects to the Power Plan VIII

Provincial People's Committee Mr. Vo Trong Hai to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ha Tinh is currently implementing many large-scale investment projects in the area, so the need to use Electricity use as well as investment in electricity infrastructure is huge and necessary.

Stemming from that practical need, in the process of developing Power Plan VIII, the province actively reviewed and evaluated the overall planning as well as the province's competitive advantages and issued many documents. propose to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade to adjust and add power source and grid projects to the national grid electricity development planning.

In order to effectively exploit the potential of renewable energy sources, and at the same time meet the needs and infrastructure of electricity, contribute to ensuring energy security and creating conditions for socio-economic development, Ha Giang province Tinh has proposed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider and add potential renewable energy projects in the province to the Power Plan VIII, including 8 wind power projects. Especially for wind power Ha Tinh is a province with a long coastline, which is considered to have good wind potential, and a convenient system of connecting lines and releasing capacity.


The list of wind power projects proposed by Ha Tinh province to the Ministry of Industry and Trade with capacity from ~100MW to 800MW includes:

• Ky Anh wind power plant project DT2, capacity 49.5MW

• Eco Wind Ky Anh Wind Power Plant Project, capacity 498MW

• Ky Anh offshore wind power plant project, capacity 800MW

• Wind power plant project in Cam Xuyen district, capacity 250MW

• Cam Xuyen 1 Wind Power Plant Project, capacity 70MW

• Cam Xuyen 2 Wind Power Plant Project, capacity 100MW

In addition, there are 2 more wind power projects of Mien Trung MK Solar Power Joint Stock Company and Phuoc Trung Energy Joint Stock Company to survey investment in the sea and mainland of Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh) with Investment up to more than 21 trillion VND has been submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to the Prime Minister and added to the previous Power Plan VII (with consideration to extend to 2030).
