Quick view

Specifically, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee said that the locality is assessed to have great potential to develop renewable energy, especially wind power, which is attractive to many big investors. Therefore, the People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade consider including 7 offshore wind power projects and 8 onshore and nearshore wind power projects registered for investment in the province into the implementation plan of Power Master Plan VIII before 2030.

Specifically, there are 8 onshore wind power projects including My An wind power plant (50 MW), HCG Hoai Nhon (150 MW), Phu My (125 MW), My Chanh (100 MW), Hon Doi (50 MW) MW), My Duc (100 MW), Van Canh Binh Dinh (150 MW) and Vinh Thuan (137 MW).

7 offshore wind power projects include offshore wind power plants Binh Dinh 1, 2 (each plant has a capacity of 300 MW), Binh Dinh 3 (2,000 MW), Nhon Ly (1,000 MW); PNE (2,000 MW); My An (1,000 MW) and Binh Dinh (2,000 MW).

In particular, Binh Dinh province requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to pay attention to the Binh Dinh offshore wind power plant project registered by PNE Group for research and investment survey with a total capacity of 2,000 MW and other road works. wire and transformer station serving connection of Binh Dinh offshore wind power plant in the implementation plan of Power Master Plan 8.

The 2 proposed substations include the 500 kV Hon Trau 2 substation (capacity 2 x 900 MVA) to connect the PNE wind power plant phase 2 and phase 3 (attached to a 500 kV dual-circuit transmission line to the station). 500 kV Binh Dinh transformer, about 40 km in length); 220 kV Hon Trau 1 substation (capacity 900 MVA) to connect the PNE wind power plant phase 1 (with a dual-circuit 220 kV line to Phu My 220 kV substation, about 20 km long).

It is known that in addition to the project of PNE Group, which has a proposal, WPD Vietnam Co., Ltd. has also proposed to survey and install wind measuring poles to research and invest in onshore wind power projects in Vinh Thuan commune. , Vinh Thanh district; Pondera Vietnam Co., Ltd. also sent a document to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province asking for a policy of coastal survey for research and development of wind power projects.

According to Power Plan 8 approved on May 15, the structure of Vietnam's power source will have many changes in the direction of prioritizing the development of renewable energy, clean energy; reduce and ultimately eliminate coal-fired power. Oriented to 2030, the total capacity of power plants serving domestic demand is 150,489 MW, excluding export, existing rooftop solar power, and renewable energy to produce new energy.
