In a meeting with BayWa.re, Mr. Thieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province shared: “The development of renewable energy and clean energy is the policy and orientation of the Vietnamese Government and to ensure balance on national energy security. Up to now, a number of investors have come to learn, research, survey and wish to invest in the construction of wind power projects in the province with about 35 projects.

Specifically, from June 2020, BayWa.re company sent a document 001w/BRE-LS to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, asking the province for permission to study and survey wind power projects. Receiving permission from Lang Son province, the company conducted a survey and found that the province has the advantage of high terrain, airy, wind blowing all year round, the area has favorable conditions for electricity development. wind.

After survey results in the past 2 years, BayWa.re wishes to invest in 3 wind power plants in Van Quan, Cao Loc and Loc Binh. The total capacity of the three projects is about 240MW, including 48 wind turbine towers with an investment of more than 9,000 billion VND, the operation time is expected to be in 2025. When put into operation, the annual electricity output is estimated. provide enough electricity for 230,000 households.

Even during the meeting, the BayWa.re representative also discussed with the province about the design options, construction plans at the expected locations of turbine towers, the plan to transport super-heavy equipment from the Port. Cai Lan (Quang Ninh) to the construction sites. At the same time, the company wants Lang Son province to support the company in the process of implementing project investment in the province.

After discussing with the business, Mr. Thieu agreed with a number of BayWa.re's proposals in the province's jurisdiction. Other contents under the authority of the central ministries and the Government and the province will soon be updated and proposed to the top for consideration.
