Accordingly, EVN and the investor have completed price negotiation and signed off on power purchase and sale contracts with 51/56 projects; in which the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved temporary prices for 40 projects.

According to EVN, by the afternoon of June 2, 10 projects had submitted documents for recognition of commercial operation date (COD), of which 9 projects and parts of projects with a total capacity of 472.62 MW have completed procedures COD, officially commercialized electricity to the national grid.

Among the wind power and solar power projects submitted with dossiers, there are 19 projects that have been accepted by competent state management agencies for works and parts of works; 27 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the whole plant, part of the plant; 24 projects have decided to extend the investment policy.

Thus, on the afternoon of June 2, EVN recorded that there were still 20 transitional wind and solar power projects that had not yet submitted their power purchase negotiation documents even though EVN and the Ministry of Industry and Trade actively supported to solve difficulties and obstacles. infected.

Information at the National Assembly session on the afternoon of June 1, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that a number of transitional wind power and renewable solar power projects have not yet sent documents to EVN because the project owners do not want to negotiate according to the price bracket promulgated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Investors believe that this electricity price is still low or there are difficulties in power transmission.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien, many project investors have been racing against time, so they skip or omit the steps and procedures prescribed by law, even violating the provisions of the law. specialized to enjoy the FIT (supported electricity tariff).

The Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized that the FIT price policy has expired, reflected in the Prime Minister's decision "not a sudden stop". To remove difficulties for these projects when they are not completed in time during the FIT period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a price bracket for electricity generation under Decision 21. This price is reduced by about 7.3% compared to the preferential price. FIT 2 offer issued in 2020; FIT 2 price decreased by 8% compared to FIT price issued in 2017.
