Role Overview
The Bridge & Road Design Engineer is responsible for surveying, assessing infrastructure conditions, and developing technical solutions to support the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo. This role ensures that solutions are feasible, safe, and optimized, while coordinating effectively for successful project execution in real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct route surveys and inspect the current condition of roadbeds, bridges, and culverts along transportation routes
Perform load capacity calculations and structural assessments of bridges and related infrastructure
Propose reinforcement solutions and route adjustments to meet heavy and oversized cargo transportation requirements
Prepare technical drawings, survey reports, and method statements for approval
Coordinate with operations teams, clients, and partners to implement project solutions
Provide on-site technical support when required
Key Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Bridge & Road Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Civil Engineering (Transport Infrastructure)
Experience in route surveys and structural assessment of bridges and roads for heavy transport is an advantage
Ability to perform load calculations, read technical drawings, and develop engineering solutions
Preference for candidates with experience in heavy-lift or project cargo; fresh graduates with strong technical foundations are also encouraged to apply
Key Competencies & Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software
Flexibility and willingness to travel and work on-site when required

Working Time
08:00 – 17:30 (Monday to Friday, and Saturday morning or as required based on project needs and management assignment)
