Role Overview
The Head of Commercial is responsible for developing and executing the company’s business development activities in project logistics and heavy-lift transportation. This role plays a key part in expanding market presence, building strategic client and partner networks, and leading sales and marketing efforts to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Market Development
Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the company’s direction
Expand market presence and grow the client network in project logistics, heavy-lift transportation, and key industrial sectors
Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly in oil & gas, energy, and heavy industries
Lead negotiations and finalize high-value contracts with clients and strategic partners
Commercial Management & Team Leadership
Manage and oversee departments within the Commercial Division, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service
Set business targets, revenue goals, and monitor departmental performance
Allocate resources and coordinate activities across teams to achieve revenue and market development objectives
Recruit, train, and develop the commercial team
Client Relationship & Service Management
Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
Oversee customer service activities to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
Monitor contract execution and resolve issues arising during cooperation with clients
Logistics Project Coordination
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to develop logistics solutions for projects
Supervise project execution to ensure timelines, budgets, and client requirements are met
Manage commercial risks and handle issues arising during project implementation
Reporting & Business Analysis
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Commercial Division
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitors to propose suitable development strategies
Provide periodic reports to the Board of Directors on business performance and market opportunities
Key Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields
8–10 years of experience in logistics, project cargo, or heavy-lift transportation
Proven experience in business management and market development
Experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects is preferred
Strong network within logistics/EPC sectors is an advantage
