Role Overview  
The Ballast Engineer is responsible for operating, calculating, and supervising ballast systems for oversized and heavy cargo transportation in logistics projects. This role ensures load balance, equipment stability, and safety throughout lifting, loading, and transportation processes, while coordinating the effective implementation of technical solutions on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and assess construction conditions and technical requirements related to ballast systems

  • Perform calculations, checks, and develop ballast plans to ensure balance and stability during lifting and transportation

  • Carry out loadout/load-in calculations, load distribution, and stability control of equipment

  • Prepare technical drawings, ballast layouts, and calculation reports for execution

  • Coordinate with technical, operations teams, and partners to implement solutions on-site

  • Supervise ballast system operations, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and propose solutions for technical issues arising during project execution

  • Provide on-site technical support when required

Key Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields

  • Strong knowledge of ballast systems, hydraulics, load balancing, and structural stability

  • Ability to perform load calculations, read technical drawings, and develop execution methods

  • Experience in heavy-lift, project cargo, or maritime projects is an advantage

  • Preference for candidates with offshore, loadout, or heavy-lift project experience; fresh graduates with strong technical foundations are also encouraged to apply


Key Competencies & Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and work on-site when required

  • Good communication and coordination skills across departments

Working Time  
08:00 – 17:30 (Monday to Friday, and Saturday morning or as required based on project needs and management assignment)
