H426 is a newly built inter-island transport vessel intended for operation in France, with a carrying capacity of 140 passengers, 17 crew members and a flexible 494 m² cargo deck for containers, vehicles and general cargo.

As part of the vessel’s final completion stage prior to delivery, PPL executed the full scope of work, including site-move, load-out, barge transportation, floating dock transfer and launching operations, ensuring safety and schedule compliance throughout the project.

The vessel was transported from the Austal Vietnam Yard (Dong Xuyen) to the quay using an SPMT system, then loaded onto a barge and transported to Saigon Shipmarin. Following the transfer to a floating dock and successful launching, the vessel was returned to the Dong Xuyen area for final outfitting works prior to delivery.

•  Transporting a vessel over 71 m in length and of substantial weight within the restricted operating space of the shipyard and quay area.

• Maintaining vessel stability and load distribution throughout SPMT transportation, load-out and barge transit operations.

• Executing the transfer from barge to floating dock and the launching process with a high level of precision to ensure vessel and equipment safety.

• Managing operational schedules in accordance with tidal and weather conditions.

• Utilized an SPMT system to transport the vessel from the fabrication area to the quay while maintaining proper load distribution and structural stability.

• Developed a dedicated load-out and sea-fastening methodology to ensure safe barge transportation.

• Coordinated closely among engineering, operations, tugboat and floating dock teams throughout the transfer and launching phases.

• Strictly controlled technical, tidal and safety factors to ensure project quality, operational safety and schedule compliance.
