• The TPC Offshore Wind Power Generation Phase II Project is part of a large-scale offshore wind development, in which the OSS Jacket serves as the foundation for the offshore substation system.

• PPL carried out site-move and load-out for the OSS Jacket at PV Shipyard Port (Vung Tau), ensuring the transfer from fabrication yard to marine transportation for export.

• The scope included handling one oversized and heavy structure, utilizing SPMT systems for transportation and executing load-out onto a barge in accordance with project technical requirements and site conditions.

• Weighing up to 3,200 tons, the OSS Jacket ranks among the heaviest single-piece cargoes ever transported in Vietnam as of April 2025

• Large dimensions (44.6 x 44.6 x 68.65 m) with a complex center of gravity, requiring precise load distribution and stability control

• High precision required during load-out from fabrication yard to barge

• Site conditions at the quay affected by weather and tidal variations

• Tight schedule aligned with offshore installation requirements

• The transport route followed a complex S-shaped path within the yard, with tight turning radii requiring precise SPMT coordination and structural stability control throughout the movement

PPL implemented the site-move and load-out plan based on detailed engineering calculations and close coordination among all parties:

• Utilized SPMT systems to transport the OSS Jacket, ensuring load distribution and operational stability

• Designed a load-out method tailored to quay and barge conditions

• Closely monitored key technical factors such as center of gravity, tilt and load distribution throughout the operation

• Ensured seamless coordination between engineering, operations and site teams to maintain schedule and minimize risks

• Supervised the entire execution process to ensure high precision at every stage
