Vietnam officially recognizes May 6 as Vietnam Logistics Day and establishes Vietnam Logistics Week

On May 6, 2026, the Minister of Industry and Trade officially issued Decision No. 1065 recognizing May 6 each year as Vietnam Logistics Day and designating the week that includes May 6 as Vietnam Logistics Week.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the annual observance of Vietnam Logistics Day and Vietnam Logistics Week aims to raise awareness among government agencies, businesses, and the public of the vital role that logistics services play in Vietnam's socio-economic development, international integration, and national competitiveness.

The initiative also seeks to promote the effective implementation of policies and regulations supporting the development of Vietnam's logistics industry, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation, green logistics, and sustainable development.

In addition, the annual event will strengthen international cooperation, facilitate trade promotion activities, attract investment in logistics infrastructure and technology, enhance Vietnam's connectivity with regional and global logistics networks, and promote the country's image as a dynamic and efficient logistics hub.

Furthermore, Vietnam Logistics Day will recognize and encourage the contributions of logistics enterprises and professionals, honoring their efforts in advancing the industry and supporting the nation's economic growth.

The initiative is expected to serve as a driving force for sustainable development, innovation, the adoption of advanced technologies, and the enhancement of workforce quality, enabling Vietnam's logistics sector to better meet the demands of global integration.
